Directions to Great Mountain Zen Center

The Great Mountain Zen Center is about a 15 minute drive from central Boulder, 40 minutes from downtown Denver and 50 minutes from Ft. Collins.

Sparta Drive runs along Waneka Lake, in the middle of the area bounded by Rte. 42 (95th St.) on the west, Rte. 287 on the east, Baseline Rd. on the north and South Boulder Rd. on the south, in Lafayette. The Zendo is located at 1110 Sparta Drive.

Take Table Mesa/South Boulder Road East to Lafayette, past 95th St. (Rte. 42). At Centaur Village Drive, take a left (north). (Centaur Village Drive is just east of Centaurus High School.) Take a right at Stop sign at Caria, then left on Sparta. Zendo is a few houses in on the right, 1110 Sparta. Alternative route: Take Baseline east. Past 95th St., take a right (south) onto Caria. Pass 4-way stop at the lake park, then right on Sparta.

Take Rte. 36 towards Boulder. Exit at Rte. 287 north towards Louisville/Lafayette. Take a left at South Boulder Road, a right at Centaur Village Drive. Take a right at Stop sign at Caria, then left on Sparta. Zendo is a few houses in on the right, 1110 Sparta.

Take 287 or I-25 south to Lafayette. From 287, take a right at Baseline Rd. (There is a Walgreens on the northwest corner of 287 and 7). Take the first left onto Caria. Go through the four way stop at the Waneka Lake Park (unless you are parking at the Lake, turn right into the lot). Turn right onto Sparta, the first road after the Lake. Zendo is a few houses in on the right, 1110 Sparta.

From I-25, take exit 229 at Colorado Hwy 7. Go west, approximately 6 miles, past 287. (There is a Walgreens on the northwest corner of 287 and 7). West of 287, take the first left onto Caria. Go through the four way stop at the Waneka Lake Park (unless you are parking at the Lake, turn right into the lot). Turn right onto Sparta, the first road after the Lake. Zendo is a few houses in on the right, 1110 Sparta.

During Sunday and Wednesday night sitting, and for special events, please park at the Lake lot at Caria and Emma. Walk back on surface streets down Caria to Sparta, or across open space to the zendo back gate. The zendo backyard has two large poplar trees.
