Community Service Project: Howard Heuston Park, Creek Clean-upWhere: Howard Heuston Park -- turn east on Iris off 30th St (one block from the Diagonal), then turn south/right on 34th st. The park is 1-2 blocks down on the left. What: The creek that creates the boundary of the park is very trashy. We will help create a healthy environment for this neighborhood. When: Saturday June 7, 10am-1pm. We will clean for a couple of hours and then have a picnic lunch/frisbee hour. Bring your own lunch and a frisbee if you have one, or other toy... How: Wear tough-soled shoes, be they chacos sandals, boots, or old tennies -- they should be okay for getting muddy and wet. Bring work gloves if you have them. Some gloves and trashbags will be provided. Reply with any questions, RSVPs are not necessary. |
