Membership Categories, Responsibilities and Rates

Supporting Members attend sittings occasionally. They may attend dokusan (interview) once a month. Dues are $30/month or $300/year.

Regular Members attend sittings regularly and commit to one samu (work practice) period a month. Dues are $50/month or $500/year. Regular members receive 20% discount on sesshin fees

Out of Town Regular Members may engage in e-mail dokusan once per week.

Training Members attend sittings regularly and are responsible for administration and organizational duties at the Center. They are understood to have made a commitment to the lineage, the teachers and the Center. Training Members commit to a minimum of three hours work practice per month, assistance with sesshin preparation and participation in at least one long and two short retreats per year. Dues are $60/month or $600/year, with a 40% discount on sesshin fees.

Student rate for Regular Members is $30/month.

Sesshin Fees. Training members $50/day, Regular members $60/day, non-members $75/day. We will not turn anyone away for lack of funds. There are special rates for full-time students. To discuss scholarships, speak with Roshi or a Member of the Guardian Council.
